Help Center
Quick answers about lookups, reports, billing, and your account.
Getting started
What is TraceCheck?
TraceCheck is a reverse phone lookup service. You enter a phone number and get a report that aggregates public records, public web sources, and licensed data partners — who the number may belong to, its carrier and line type, and related public information.
How do I run my first lookup?
Enter the number on the home page and start the search. You'll need an account to view the full report, and one token is used per completed lookup.
Do I need an account?
You can start a search without one, but viewing full reports requires signing in — that's how your report history and token balance stay attached to you.
Lookups & reports
Which countries are covered?
US and Canadian numbers get the fullest reports. For EU, UK, and Swiss numbers we only show carrier and line-type information, in line with regional privacy rules — those lookups never reach data resellers.
How accurate are the results?
Reports aggregate what public and licensed sources return for a number, so completeness varies. Each report shows a quality score and marks which sources contributed, and conflicting identities are kept separate rather than merged.
Why is a section missing from my report?
Reports only include sections with data for that number. A missing section means the sources we checked had nothing to show for it — or the number's region doesn't permit that data type.
Billing & tokens
How do tokens work?
One token equals one phone lookup. Subscriptions include a monthly token allowance, and you can top up with one-time credit packs. Tokens are only spent when a lookup completes.
What does a subscription include?
Subscribers get a monthly token allowance plus premium features. Credit packs add tokens without a subscription.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Go to Account settings and choose cancel. Your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period, and you keep any remaining tokens.
Account & privacy
Where does the data in reports come from?
From public records, public web sources, and licensed data partners. TraceCheck doesn't create data about people — see the Privacy Policy for the full picture.
Can I use reports for tenant or employment screening?
No. TraceCheck is not a consumer reporting agency. Using reports for employment, credit, housing, insurance, or any FCRA-regulated decision is prohibited — see the FCRA Notice.
How do I delete my account or data?
Email support from your account address and we'll process the deletion. Report history and personal details are removed; some billing records must be retained by law.
